2023 Super Formula Championship
The 2023 Japanese Super Formula Championship is the fifty-first season of premier Japanese open-wheel motor racing, and the eleventh under the moniker of Super Formula. It started in April 2023 and is due to be contested over seven race meetings. Tomoki Nojiri entered the season as the two-time and defending series champion. Teams and drivers All teams use identical Dallara-built SF23 chassis. 2023 is the first season for this new chassis. The SF23 is constructed from Bcomp bio-composite material aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 75 percent, and features updated aerodynamic features aimed at reducing turbulent air and promoting more wheel-to-wheel racing. Series tyre supplier Yokohama Rubber debuted a new "carbon neutral racing tyre" made from 33 percent recycled and renewable raw materials. 2023 Super Formula Lights
The 2023 Super Formula Lights Championship was the fourth Super Formula Lights Championship season, after the Japanese Formula 3 Championship was rebranded following the end of the 2019 season. It featured drivers competing in Dallara 320 chassis and with engines made by three different manufacturers, a similar regulation format to the Euroformula Open Championship. Honda junior Iori Kimura won the Drivers' Championship, while his team, B-Max Racing, won the Teams' Championship. His teammate Nobuhiro Imada won the Masters' Class title, while Spiess won the Engine Manufacturer's Championship. B-Max Racing
B-Max Racing Co., Ltd also known as B-Max Racing Team and B-Max Engineering is a race car builder and racing team headquartered in Ayase, Kanagawa. History Byobugaura Kogyo Co., Ltd. established the race division "B-Max Engineering" in 2009, and started participating in Super FJ and Porsche Carrera Cup Japan in 2010. Kazuto Kotaka
is a racing driver from Japan who currently competes in Super Formula, and Super GT. Career Kotaka made his debut in formula racing in 2015, racing for TOM'S from the second race weekend in the F4 Japanese Championship. He regularly finished in the top 10, with a fourth place finish at the Suzuka International Racing Course as his best result. He finished sixth in the championship with 50 points. In 2016, Kotaka remained active in Japanese Formula 4 with TOM'S. He won two races at Fuji Speedway and another at Sportsland SUGO. He later took another podium finish at Fuji, but achieved erratic results for the remainder of the season. He finished fifth overall with 113 points. In 2017, Kotaka did not race, but in 2018 he returned to Japanese Formula 4 at TOM's. is a Japanese racing driver, known for his successes in single-seater junior categories, including winning the 2013 Formula Challenge Japan and the 2012 Motegi Championship Formula Super FJ. Masahiko Kondō
or Matchy is a Japanese singer, lyricist, actor, racing car manager and former semi-professional racing driver. He was a member of the Tanokin Trio. Kondō is also a semi-professional racing driver and a racing team owner. He founded the racing team ''Kondo Racing'' in 2000, which currently competes in both Super Formula and Super GT. Ren Sato (racing Driver)
is a Japanese racing driver. He is competing in the Japanese Super Formula Championship for Honda and Team Goh. He is not related to ex-Formula 1 driver Takuma Sato. Career Formula 4 (2018-2020) Sato made his single-seater debut with Honda Formula Dream Project in the 2018 FIA F4 Japanese Championship. Naoki Yamamoto (racing Driver)
is a Japanese racing driver for Honda Racing Corporation, currently driving in the Autobacs Super GT Series with Team Kunimitsu, and the Japanese Super Formula Championship with Nakajima Racing. He is a three-time champion in Super Formula, and a two-time champion in the GT500 class of Super GT. (born August 4, 1998) is a Japanese racing driver. He currently competes in Super GT for Team Mugen and in Super Formula for TCS Nakajima Racing.
