2023 Norwegian Second Division
The 2023 Norwegian Second Division (referred to as PostNord-ligaen for sponsorship reasons) is a Norwegian football third-tier league season. The league consisting of 28 teams divided into two groups of 14 teams. The league will be played as a double round-robin tournament, where all teams play 26 matches. The season started on 10 April 2023 and will be end on 11 November 2023, not including play-off matches. Team changes Last season, Moss and Hødd were promoted to the 2023 Norwegian First Division, while Odd 2, Staal Jørpeland, Eidsvold Turn, Asker and Frigg were relegated to the 2023 Norwegian Third Division. Grorud and Stjørdals-Blink were relegated from the 2022 Norwegian First Division, while Lyn, Aalesund 2, Brann 2, Fram Larvik, Junkeren and Strømsgodset 2 were promoted from the 2022 Norwegian Third Division. Norwegian Second Division
The Norwegian Second Division, also called 2. divisjon and often referred to as PostNord-ligaen for sponsorship reasons, is the third-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. There are 28 teams divided into two groups, and at the end of the season the winner of each group earns promotion to the second-highest division, 1. divisjon. The teams finishing in second place in their respective group will qualify for the promotion play-offs, where they will face each other. The winner will play against the 14th placed team in 1. divisjon for promotion. The bottom three teams in each group are relegated to 3. divisjon. 2. divisjon is the highest league a reserve team can participate in, and only reserve teams from the Eliteserien clubs (first tier) are allowed to enter. The 2022 Norwegian First Division (referred to as OBOS-ligaen for sponsorship reasons) is a Norwegian second-tier football league season. The league started on 2 April 2022, and is scheduled to end on 29 October 2022. Teams In the 2021 1. divisjon, HamKam, Aalesund, and Jerv were promoted to the 2022 Eliteserien, while Strømmen and Ull/Kisa were relegated to the 2022 2. divisjon. Mjøndalen, Stabæk, and Brann were relegated from the 2021 Eliteserien, while Kongsvinger and Skeid were promoted from the 2021 2. divisjon. Notodden Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club located in Notodden. The team currently plays in 2. divisjon, the third tier of the Norwegian football league system. It was founded in 1999 as a merger between the football departments of SK Snøgg and Heddal IL ahead of the 2000 season.
