2022 Norwegian First Division
The 2022 Norwegian First Division (referred to as OBOS-ligaen for sponsorship reasons) is a Norwegian second-tier football league season. The league started on 2 April 2022, and is scheduled to end on 29 October 2022. Teams In the 2021 1. divisjon, HamKam, Aalesund, and Jerv were promoted to the 2022 Eliteserien, while Strømmen and Ull/Kisa were relegated to the 2022 2. divisjon. Mjøndalen, Stabæk, and Brann were relegated from the 2021 Eliteserien, while Kongsvinger and Skeid were promoted from the 2021 2. divisjon. IL Stjørdals-Blink
Idrettslaget Stjørdals-Blink is a Norwegian sports club from Stjørdalshalsen, Trøndelag. It has sections for association football, team handball, volleyball, track and field, orienteering, cycling, swimming, gymnastics, speed skating, and Nordic skiing. History Establishment It was established in 1956 as a merger between ''Stjørdal IL'' (the former AIF club ''Stjørdal AIL'') and ''IL Blink''. The club counts 1910 as its founding year. Recent years The men's football team currently plays in the 1. divisjon, the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club also played several seasons in the 2. divisjon during the 1990s until the relegation in 1998. Mjøndalen IF
Mjøndalen IF is a Norwegian sports club located in Mjøndalen, Viken, Norway. Of the different athletic endeavours that the club supports, it may be best known in Norway for its bandy national championship teams and internationally for its association football national championship teams that have competed in UEFA championships. Founded in 1910, it has sections for association football, bandy, baseball, cycling, gymnastics, handball, judo and skiing. The club formerly had a section for athletics. History Mjøndalen was founded on 22 August 1910. Ull/Kisa
Ullensaker/Kisa IL, commonly referred to as Ull/Kisa, is a Norwegian sports club from Jessheim in Ullensaker. Founded in 1894, it has sections for association football, team handball and athletics. General history The club was founded on 15 December 1894. After the Second World War it incorporated the AIF club ''Ullensaker AIL'', founded 1932. Ull/Kisa plays with a yellow shirt and green shorts. In football, this is completed with yellow stockings. Athletics The club has had some Norwegian champions, mostly within running events. An early medal winner was Svein Skolt, who took a national bronze medal in the steeplechase in 1951. A few years later, Berit Dønnum took a double 800 metres title in 1962 and 1963. Strømmen IF
Strømmen Idrettsforening is a Norwegian sports club from Strømmen. It has sections for football, athletics and gymnastics, and formerly had sections for bandy, orienteering, skiing, speed skating, swimming among other sports. History The club was founded on 25 September 1911 as ''Strømmen FK''. The name was changed to ''FK Norrøna'' in 1914. In 1923 the club merged with ''Strømmen IL'' and took the name ''IL Norrøna''. In 1935 it incorporated the club ''Strømmen BK'', founded in the 1920s, and reverted its name back to ''Strømmen FK''. On 27 June 1945, the club merged with AIF club ''Strømmen AIL'', founded 1928, and got its current name. 2022 Eliteserien
The 2022 Eliteserien will be the 78th season of top-tier football in Norway. This will be the sixth season of Eliteserien after rebranding from Tippeligaen. The season is scheduled to begin on 2 April 2022 and end on 13 November 2022, not including play-off matches. Bodø/Glimt are the defending champions. HamKam, Aalesund and Jerv joined as the promoted clubs from the 2021 Norwegian First Division. They replaced Brann, Stabæk and Mjøndalen who were relegated to the 2022 Norwegian First Division. Teams Sixteen teams compete in the league – the top thirteen teams from the previous season, and three teams promoted from the First Division. The promoted teams were HamKam (returning to the top flight after a thirteen season absence), Aalesund (returning to the top flight after a one season absence) and Jerv (first season in the top flight). FK Jerv
Fotballklubben Jerv is a Norwegian football club from Grimstad. ''Jerv'' is the Norwegian name for wolverine. They currently play in the Eliteserien. History The club was founded in 1921, as Vestergatens FK, named after the street in which the foundation took place, but later changed name to Djerv and then Jerv. In the 1970s and 1980s the team had a number of foreign coaches, including Bo Johansson who managed the team in 1984 and 1985 and went on to coach several clubs and national teams. In November 2007 Jerv signed another well-known ex-footballer Tore André Dahlum as coach. In 2021, Jerv were promoted to the top division, Eliteserien, for the first time in their history. They were promoted through the play-offs, where they beat Brann in the final. The score was 4–4 after extra time, but Jerv won 8–7 on penalties. Aalesunds Fotballklubb, commonly known as Aalesund or AaFK, is a Norwegian football club from the town of Ålesund, that competes in the Eliteserien, the first tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 25 June 1914. As of 2004, the football club had 835 members and several teams on both professional and amateur levels. These teams are the 1st and 2nd teams, junior team, and also several age-specific teams. History In 2009 the club won the Norwegian Cup for the first time in its history. Hamarkameratene (literally ''the Hamar Comrades''), often abbreviated to HamKam or Ham-Kam, is a Norwegian football club based in the town of Hamar. The club was founded in 1918, originally under the name Freidig. HamKam were most recently promoted to the Eliteserien in 2021. A third-place finish in 1970 is the highest position that the team has held in the top division; the club has never progressed beyond the semifinals of the Norwegian Cup, last reaching the semifinals in 1989. Briskeby Stadion has been the home ground of Hamarkameratene since 1936. The construction of a completely modernized stadium began in 2007 but has never been completed. Stabæk Fotball is a Norwegian professional football club based in Bærum, a suburb of Oslo. It is part of the multi-sport organization Stabæk IF. Founded in 1912, the club's name is an archaic spelling of the suburban area Stabekk, from which it once originated. Skeid Fotball
Skeid is a Norwegian football club from Oslo that currently plays in 1. divisjon ( OBOS-ligaen), the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. Its current home field is Nordre Åsen, after the club stopped playing at Bislett after the 2012 season. In past decades it has gained a reputation as a talent factory for the larger clubs in Norwegian football, and it has produced several players for the national team such as Daniel Braaten, Daniel Fredheim Holm, Omar Elabdellaoui and Mohammed Abdellaoue.
