2023 Cup Of China
The 2023 Cup of China was the fourth event of the 2023–24 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating: a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Chongqing Huaxi Culture and Sports Center in Chongqing from November 10–12. Medals were awarded in single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Skaters earned points toward qualifying for the 2023–24 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, 2023–24 Grand Prix Final. ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating (known as ISU Champions Series from 1995 to 1997) is a series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The invitational series was inaugurated in 1995, incorporating several previously existing events. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The junior-level equivalent is the ISU Junior Grand Prix. Single Skating
Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). Figure skating is the oldest winter sport contested at the Olympics, with men's and women's single skating appearing as two of the four figure skating events at the London Games in 1908. Single skaters are required to perform two segments in all international competitions, the short program and the free skating program. Chen Hongyi
Chen Hongyi (; born September 19, 2002) is a Chinese figure skater. She is the 2020 Cup of China champion, a three-time Chinese national medalist (2018–20), and has skated in the final segment at five ISU Championships. Career Early years Chen began learning to skate in 2008. 2017–2018 season Chen's ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) debut came in September 2017, in Zagreb, Croatia, where she placed sixteenth. An Xiangyi (; born 24 December 2006) is a Chinese figure skater. She is a two-time (2020 and 2022) national champion. Personal life An was born on December 24, 2006 in Beijing, China to parents, Zhang Aijun and ethnic Korean father An Longhe, a figure skater and coach.
