2023 Chicago Bears Season
The 2023 season was the Chicago Bears' 104th season in the National Football League (NFL) and their second under the head coach/ general manager tandem of Matt Eberflus and Ryan Poles. Despite starting the season 0–4, and extending the team losing streak to 14 (longest in team history; dating back to the 2022 season), the Bears improved on their 3–14 record from the previous season after a Week 12 win over the Minnesota Vikings, and improved on their 6–11 record from the 2021 season after a Week 17 win against the Atlanta Falcons, although a Week 15 loss to the Cleveland Browns ensured their third consecutive losing season and fifth consecutive non-winning campaign. After the Carolina Panthers' loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on New Year's Eve, they secured the first overall pick in the NFL Draft for the second successive season. However, wins by the Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers later that day eliminated the Bears from playoff contention for the third c ...

NFC North
The National Football Conference – Northern Division or NFC North is one of the four divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). Nicknamed the "Black and Blue Division" for the rough and tough rivalry games between the teams, it currently has four members: the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings. The NFC North was previously known as the NFC Central from 1970 to 2001. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were previously members, from 1977, one year after they joined the league as an expansion team, until 2002 when they moved to the NFC South. The division was created in 1967 as the Central Division of the NFL's Western Conference and existed for three seasons before the AFL–NFL merger. After the merger, it was renamed the NFC Central and retained that name until the NFL split into eight divisions in 2002. The four current division teams have been together in the same division or conference since the Viking ...

Tackle (gridiron Football Position)
Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense. In the modern system of specialized units, offensive tackle and defensive tackle are separate positions, and the stand-alone term "tackle" refers to the offensive tackle position only. The offensive tackle (OT, T) is a position on the offensive line, left and right. Like other offensive linemen, their job is to block: to physically keep defenders away from the offensive player who has the football and enable him to advance the football and eventually score a touchdown. The term "tackle" is a vestige of an earlier era of football in which the same players played both offense and defense. A tackle is the strong position on the offensive line. They power their blocks with quick steps and maneuverability. The tackles are mostly in charge of the outside protection. Usually they defend a ...

2023 Philadelphia Eagles Season
The 2023 season was the Philadelphia Eagles' 91st season in the National Football League (NFL) and their third under head coach Nick Sirianni. The Eagles entered the season as defending NFC Champions. In Week 15, the Eagles clinched their third consecutive playoff berth, and for the sixth time in seven years due to the Green Bay Packers losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Atlanta Falcons losing to the Carolina Panthers, and the San Francisco 49ers beating the Arizona Cardinals. Despite this, the Eagles failed to equal or improve on their 14–3 record from the previous year after losing to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. Despite starting with a 10–1 record for the second consecutive season, the Eagles would lose five of their last six games, causing them to lose the first seed in the NFC to the San Francisco 49ers and the NFC East to the Dallas Cowboys. These problems were attributed to the team's poor defense, which was ranked 26th out of 32, which contributed to many ...

List Of Chicago Bears First-round Draft Picks
The Chicago Bears are an American football franchise based in Chicago, Illinois. They are members of the NFC North, a division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). Every year in Spring, the NFL hosts a collegiate draft, commonly known as the "NFL Draft". Franchises that did poorly the season prior are favored in the draft, with the order determined by record. The team with the worst record picks first, then in reverse order. The order of playoff teams is determined by round eliminated, with the team with the worst record eliminated in each round selecting first among the eliminated teams, similar to the order for non-playoff teams. The winner of the previous season's Super Bowl selects last in the first round. Teams may trade draft picks for players, money, or other picks. The Bears first selection was Joe Stydahar, a tackle from the West Virginia University, who is inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and their most recent first ...

Quarterback
The quarterback (commonly abbreviated "QB"), colloquially known as the "signal caller", is a position in gridiron football. Quarterbacks are members of the offensive platoon and mostly line up directly behind the offensive line. In modern American football, the quarterback is usually considered the leader of the offense, and is often responsible for calling the play in the huddle. The quarterback also touches the ball on almost every offensive play, and is almost always the offensive player that throws forward passes. When the QB is tackled behind the line of scrimmage, it is called a sack. Overview In modern American football, the starting quarterback is usually the leader of the offense, and their successes and failures can have a significant impact on the fortunes of their team. Accordingly, the quarterback is among the most glorified, scrutinized, and highest-paid positions in team sports. '' Bleacher Report'' describes the signing of a starting quarterback as a Catch- ...
