The 2023 Beef. It's What's for Dinner. 300 was the 1st stock car race of the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series, and the 42nd iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, in Daytona Beach, Florida, at Daytona International Speedway, a permanent tri-oval shaped superspeedway. The race was scheduled to be contested over 120 laps, but due to a NASCAR overtime finish, it was increased to 125 laps. Austin Hill, driving for Richard Childress Racing, would win the race after leading when the final caution came out on the last lap. This was Hill's third career NASCAR Xfinity Series win, and his first of the season. Hill would dominate the race as well, leading 39 laps. Daytona International Speedway is a race track in Daytona Beach, Florida, United States. Since opening in 1959, it has been the home of the Daytona 500, the most prestigious race in NASCAR as well as its season opening event. In addition to NASCAR, the track also hosts races of ARCA, AMA Superbike, IMSA, SCCA, and Motocross. The track features multiple layouts including the primary high-speed tri-oval, a sports car course, a motorcycle course, and a karting and motorcycle flat-track. David Leon Starr (born October 11, 1967) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 08 Ford Mustang for SS-Green Light Racing. He has also raced in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Camping World Truck Series, where he is a four-time race winner, and the NASCAR Cup Series in the past. Cole Matthew Custer (born January 23, 1998) is an American professional stock car racing driver.
