2023 ACC Women's Soccer Tournament
The 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference women's soccer tournament was the post season women's soccer tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference and was held from October 29 through November 5, 2023. The five-match tournament took place at campus sites for the quarterfinals and Sahlen's Stadium in Cary, North Carolina for the semifinals and final. The higher seed hosted the campus site matches. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Florida State Seminoles were the three-time defending champions. Florida State successfully defended its title after defeating the Clemson Tigers 2–1 in the final. This was Florida State's tenth overall title, and fourth title in a row. WakeMed Soccer Park
WakeMed Soccer Park is a major soccer complex in Cary, North Carolina, United States. It consists of a purpose-built, soccer-specific main stadium called Sahlen's Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park, two lighted practice fields, and four additional fields. Sahlen's Stadium and the two lighted fields (2 & 3) are all FIFA international regulation size (). Sahlen's Stadium seats 10,000, while Field 2 also has 1,000 permanent bleacher seats. The complex also sports a full-length, nationally recognized cross-country course and houses the offices of Triangle Professional Soccer. 2023 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Women's Soccer Team
The 2023 Wake Forest Demon Deacons women's soccer team represented Wake Forest University during the 2023 NCAA Division I women's soccer season. The Demon Deacons were led by head coach Tony Da Luz, in his twenty-seventh season. They played their home games at Spry Stadium. This was the team's 29th season playing organized women's college soccer, all of which have been played in the Atlantic Coast Conference. 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Soccer Season
The 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference women's soccer season was the 35th season of women's varsity soccer in the conference. North Carolina and were Florida State the defending regular season champions. Florida State was the defending ACC tournament champions. Florida State successfully defended its regular season and ACC tournament title. They finished 9–0–1 in ACC play and won both of their games in the ACC Tournament. Florida State would go on to win the national championship, and complete an undefeated season. Lauren Landy Mertz (born July 19, 2000) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for the North Carolina Courage of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
