2023 Nigerian General Election
The 2023 Nigerian general election will be held, in large part, on 25 February and 11 March 2023. The President and Vice President will be elected on 25 February, with incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari ineligible to run, being term-limited. Additionally, there will also be elections on the same day for the Senate and the House of Representatives. On 11 March, twenty-eight gubernatorial elections will be held alongside elections to state houses of assembly in all 36 states. Two additional gubernatorial elections will be held later in the year alongside potential rerun elections for regularly scheduled elections annulled from earlier in the year. The 2023 FISU Winter World University Games, officially known as the XXX Winter Universiade, and commonly known as Lake Placid 2023, is a collegiate multi-sport winter sports event scheduled to be held from 12 to 22 January 2023 in Lake Placid, New York, United States. They will be the 30th Winter Universiade as administered by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). It will mark the second edition of the Games, formerly known as the Winter Universiade, to be held in Lake Placid, after 1972. and the third time that the World University Games are held in the United States after Lake Placid in 1972 and Buffalo in 1993. Parliamentary elections will be held in Estonia on 5 March 2023 to elect all 101 members of the Riigikogu.
