2022–23 Ukrainian Second League
The 2022–23 Ukrainian Second League was the 32nd since its establishment. Summary Due to Russo-Ukrainian War, the Professional Football League of Ukraine (PFL) lost some 24 clubs. Out of 31 teams of the last season, only 4 remained for this season. The Second League was replenished with some teams from national amateur competitions as well as some clubs added their reserve teams. Unlike the last season, this season consisted of a single group of 10 with a standard double round-robin tournament. The top team would receive a direct promotion, while the runner-up contest promotion with the second to the last from the First League. With occupation of Kherson Oblast, the Russian occupational administration announced to create own club (Fregat) in place of FC Krystal Kherson. However, after the 2022 Kherson counteroffensive, the story did not get any continuation. FC Kremin-2 Kremenchuk
Kremin-2 Kremenchuk is a Ukrainian football team based in Kremenchuk, Ukraine and it serves as a junior team for the FC Kremin Kremenchuk. Like most tributary teams, the best players are sent up to the senior team, meanwhile developing other players for further call-ups. Competing usually at regional level of Poltava Oblast and occasionally the national amateur competitions, in 2022 it debuted in Ukrainian Second Division. Among notable achievements it should be noted about 2nd place runner of Poltava Oblast football championship in 2000. Earlier in 1999 the team appeared in competitions among amateurs but placed last in its group. Its next appearance at national level the team has made only in the 2019–20 season as Kremin-Yunior. Slavutych-Arena
Slavutych Arena ( uk, Славутич-Арена) is a football-only stadium in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. It is used for football matches and is the home of Metalurh Zaporizhzhia. The stadium's official maximum capacity is 12,000. Central Stadium Metalurh The stadium was built in 2006 in place of another stadium that was called Central Stadium Metalurh (or Metalurh Stadium) and which existed since 2 May 1938. The new stadium was built after complete demolishing of the previous stadium. In 2001, the Football Federation of Ukraine suspended the Metalurh Stadium and Metalurh played most of its home games at the AvtoZAZ Stadium which was a home ground of FC Torpedo Zaporizhzhia. Slavutych Arena After the 2001-02 season, the Central Stadium Metalurh was completely demolished and on its place started to be built a new stadium. Bucha, Kyiv Oblast
Bucha ( uk, Буча, ) is a city in Ukraine's Kyiv Oblast. Administratively, it serves as the administrative center of Bucha Raion. It hosts the administration of Bucha urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Its population is approximately . Bucha Day is celebrated in the city between 11 and 13 September. The Battle of Bucha was part of the Kyiv offensive in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The battle lasted from 27 February 2022 to 31 March 2022 and ended with the withdrawal of Russian forces. Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk reported that Bucha had been fully retaken from Russian forces as of 31 March. Central City Stadium ( uk, Центральний міський стадіон, Tsentralnyi miskyi stadion) is a multi-use stadium in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. It is currently used mostly for football matches, and is the home of FC Nyva Vinnytsia and FC Vinnytsia. The stadium holds 24,000 people. History The stadium was built after World War II in 1949 by workers of Vinnytsia city and Southwestern Railways and was named as Lokomotyv (Lokomotyv Stadium). Before 1972, its capacity was 12,000 spectators. During 1972-1980, the stadium was completely renovated. FC Real Pharma Odesa is a professional Ukrainian football club from the city of Odesa. The "Pharma" portion of the name comes from ''pharmaceutical'' influences that are associated with the club's ownership as evident on the original logo which is in English rather than Ukrainian. SC Chaika Petropavlivska Borshchahivka is a Ukrainian football club from Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, Bucha Raion, just outside Kyiv. The club plays in Ukrainian Second League since 2018. FC Nyva Vinnytsia is a professional Ukraine, Ukrainian association football, football club based in the city of Vinnytsia. The name "Nyva" translates to "grain field". Football Club Livyi Bereh Kyiv ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Лівий берег» Київ) is a Ukraine, Ukrainian football (soccer), football club from Kyiv. The club is based at the Kyiv's Osokorky neighborhood located at the left-bank of Dnieper, Dnipro, hence Livyi Bereh (left-bank).
