2022–23 Milton Keynes Dons F.C. Season
The 2022–23 season was Milton Keynes Dons' 19th season in their existence, and the club's fourth consecutive season in League One. The club also competed in the FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023. Managerial changes On 11 December 2022, head coach Liam Manning was sacked by the club, with club captain Dean Lewington taking over as interim manager whilst a permanent replacement was sought. Goalkeeper David Martin became acting assistant manager alongside, with Bradley Johnson also taking charge of the team for their EFL Cup fixture on 20 December while Lewington underwent hamstring surgery. On 23 December 2022, it was announced that Mark Jackson had been appointed as the club's new head coach, however after five months in charge Jackson was sacked following the club's relegation to League Two having registered just six wins in 25 games. UEFA Women's Euro 2022
The 2022 UEFA European Women's Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Women's Euro 2022 or simply Euro 2022, was the 13th edition of the UEFA Women's Championship, the quadrennial international football championship organised by UEFA for the women's national teams of Europe. It was the second edition since it was expanded to 16 teams. The tournament was hosted by England, and was originally scheduled to take place from 7 July to 1 August 2021. However, the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe in early 2020 resulted in subsequent postponements of the 2020 Summer Olympics and UEFA Euro 2020 to summer 2021, so the tournament was rescheduled for 6 to 31 July 2022. AFC Rushden & Diamonds
A.F.C. Rushden & Diamonds is an English football club based in Rushden in Northamptonshire. They played their opening season at Kiln Park, the home of Raunds Town, in 2011–12 and subsequently shared the Dog & Duck ground with Wellingborough Town from July 2012 to the summer of 2017. A groundshare agreement with Rushden & Higham United was agreed for the 2017–18 season. The club was formed by supporters in July 2011, after Rushden & Diamonds, a former Football League club, were expelled from the Football Conference and liquidated. The Milton Keynes Citizen is the only freely distributed local newspaper in Milton Keynes. The newspaper is part of JPIMedia.
