2022–23 La Liga
The 2022–23 La Liga, also known as La Liga Santander due to sponsorship reasons, is the 92nd season of La Liga, Spain's premier football competition. It commenced on 12 August 2022 and is scheduled to end on 4 June 2023. Real Madrid are the defending champions, having won their 35th title the previous season. With the 2022 FIFA World Cup having commenced on 20 November, there is a mid-season hiatus in the league. The last round before the break was held from 8–10 November, with the league resuming on 29 December. This season is the first since 2012–13 to conclude in June. Anssumane "Ansu" Fati Vieira (born 31 October 2002) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a forward for La Liga club Barcelona and the Spain national team. Clément Turpin (; born 16 May 1982) is a French football referee. He has been a FIFA listed referee since 2010, and an UEFA Elite group referee since 2012. Career Turpin became a FIFA referee in 2010. He has served as a referee in the 2014 and 2018 World Cup qualifiers. He became a referee in UEFA club competitions from the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League. In May 2016, Turpin was named the best French referee by the French Football Federation. Estadio La Romareda
Estadio La Romareda is the home stadium of Real Zaragoza, in Zaragoza. It was inaugurated on 8 September 1957, with a game between Real Zaragoza and CA Osasuna (4–3). The official capacity is 33,608, with an average attendance of around 20,000 for Real Zaragoza matches. Currently, it is the 12th-largest stadium in Spain and the largest in Aragon. The stadium has gone through various upgrades, in 1977 and in 1982, when it was a 1982 FIFA World Cup venue. The stadium was also used for football group matches and a quarterfinal during the 1992 Summer Olympics. It became an all-seater stadium in 1994. Breel Donald Embolo (born 14 February 1997) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Monaco and the Switzerland national team.
