The Štark Arena ( sr-cyrl, Штарк арена), also known as Belgrade Arena ( sr-cyrl, Београдска арена), is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Belgrade, Serbia. Emily Jane Borthwick (born 2 September 1997) is a British high jumper. From Wigan, Greater Manchester Borthwick finished third at the 2020 British Championship in the high jump. In March 2021, she was selected for the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team to compete at the 2021 European Athletics Indoor Championships, held in Toruń, Poland. At the event she secured a new personal best with a third-time clearance at 1.91m to qualify for the final of the women’s high jump where she finished 8th. Angelina Topić ( sr-Cyrl, Ангелина Топић; born 26 July 2005) is a Serbian athlete specializing in the high jump. High Jump
The high jump is a track and field event in which competitors must jump unaided over a horizontal bar placed at measured heights without dislodging it. In its modern, most-practiced format, a bar is placed between two standards with a crash mat for landing. Since ancient times, competitors have introduced increasingly effective techniques to arrive at the current form, and the current universally preferred method is the Fosbury Flop, in which athletes run towards the bar and leap head first with their back to the bar. The discipline is, alongside the pole vault, one of two vertical clearance events in the Olympic athletics program.
