The 2022 Women's Indoor Hockey World Cup would have been the sixth edition of this tournament and scheduled to be played from 3 to 7 February 2021 in Liège, Belgium. It was originally scheduled for February 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was cancelled on 10 January 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Qualification Twelve teams qualified to participate in the tournament. Australia and New Zealand withdrew from the tournament due to the travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic and were replaced by Canada and South Africa. 2021 Women's Indoor Africa Cup
The 2021 Women's Indoor African Cup was held in Durban, South Africa. It was originally scheduled from 25 to 27 September 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 30 December 2020 it was announced the tournament was rescheduled to be held from 15 to 18 April 2021. The competition featured three teams, with the winner securing a place in the 2022 Women's FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup. The defending champions Namibia women's national indoor hockey team, Namibia won the title by defeating the hosts South Africa women's national indoor hockey team, South Africa 2–0 in the final. The 2022 Women's FIH Hockey World Cup was the 15th edition of the Women's FIH Hockey World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for women's national field hockey teams organized by the International Hockey Federation. It was held from 1 to 17 July 2022 at the Estadi Olímpic de Terrassa in Terrassa, Spain and at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. The 2020 Women's EuroHockey Indoor Nations Championship is the 20th edition of the tournament. It takes place from 24 to 26 January 2020 in Minsk, Belarus.
