The 2022 Gulf South Conference football season was the season of college football played by the eight member schools of the Gulf South Conference (GSC) as part of the 2022 NCAA Division II football season. West Florida and Delta State were GSC co-champions for the 2022 season. They were ranked No. 4 and No. 9, respectively, in the final 2022 NCAA Division II football rankings issued by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). A third conference member, West Georgia, placed at No. 19 in the final AFCA rankings. Quarterback Patrick Shegog of Delta State was selected as the GSC Offensive Player of the Year. Linebacker Michael Anderson of West Alabama was named Defensive Player of the Year. Todd Cooley of Delta State won the GSC Coach of the Year award. University Stadium is an on-campus stadium in Carrollton, Georgia that opened in 2009. It is primarily used for American football and is the home field of the University of West Georgia West Georgia Wolves, Wolves. The stadium holds 10,000 people. Construction In 2003, the University of West Georgia acquired 250 acres from the city of Carrollton for the purpose of creating a stadium and athletic complex. Such a facility would serve a dual role: give UWG sports teams a facility that they could use and aid the university in its quest to continue to attract additional students. The funding for this venture was made possible through private donations and increased student fees approved by the Student Government Association. During the summer of 2008, construction began on this facility and, in the fall of 2009, University Stadium opened. Bolivar, Missouri
Bolivar is a city and county seat of Polk County, Missouri, United States. As of a 2019 estimate by the U. S. Census Bureau, the city population was 11,067. History Bolivar began as a settlement around Keeling Spring, with the majority of settlers being from Hardeman County, Tennessee. The settlement became part of Greene County, Missouri when that county was organized in 1833. After the northern part of Greene County was ceded to form Polk County, Missouri, the Polk County Court proclaimed the settlement as a city, named it Bolivar, and designated it as the county seat on 10 November 1835. The 2022 Great Lakes Valley Conference football season was the season of college football contested by the seven football-playing member schools of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) as part of the 2022 NCAA Division II football season. The 2022 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference football season was the season of college football played by the seven member schools of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) as part of the 2022 NCAA Division II football season.
