2022 Turkish Basketball Cup
The 2022 Turkish Basketball Cup ( tr, 2022 Basketbol Erkekler Türkiye Kupası), also known as Bitci Erkekler Türkiye Kupası for sponsporship reasons, was the 36th edition of Turkey's top-tier level professional national domestic basketball cup competition. The quarterfinals of tournament was held from 15 to 16 February 2022 in 4 different locations and then semi-finals and the final were held from 18 to 20 February 2022 in the Tofaş Nilüfer Spor Salonu in Bursa, Turkey. Anadolu Efes won the competition by defeating Fenerbahçe Beko 86–72 in the final. Qualified teams The top eight placed teams after the first half of the top-tier level Basketball Super League 2021–22 season qualified for the tournament. The four highest placed teams are going to play the lowest seeded teams in the quarter-finals. The competition was played under a single elimination format. The 2020 Turkish Basketball Cup ( tr, 2020 Basketbol Erkekler Türkiye Kupası) was the 35th edition of Turkey's top-tier level professional national domestic basketball cup competition. The quarter-finals of tournament was held from 11–12 February 2020 in 4 different locations and then semi-finals and the final were held from 14–16 February 2020 in the Ankara Arena in Ankara, Turkey. Qualified teams The top eight placed teams after the first half of the top-tier level Basketball Super League 2019–20 season qualified for the tournament. The four highest placed teams are going to play the lowest seeded teams in the quarter-finals. The competition was played under a single elimination format. Berk İbrahim Uğurlu (born 27 April 1996) is a Turkish professional basketball player for Beşiktaş of the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). Standing at 1.92 m (6 ft. 3 in.), and weighing 87 kg (192 lbs.), he plays at the point guard position. Tyler Cameron Ennis McIntyre (born August 24, 1994) is a Canadian professional basketball player for Tofaş of the Turkish BSL. He played college basketball for the Syracuse Orange, where he was considered one of the top freshmen in 2013–14. He was drafted 18th overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2014 NBA draft. Milton Doyle (born October 31, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for the Tasmania JackJumpers of the National Basketball League (NBL).
