The 19th running of the Tour of Flanders for Women, a women's cycling race in Belgium, was held on 4 April 2021, serving as the 6th event of the 2021 UCI Women's World Tour. It was won in the sprint by the Belgian champion Lotte Kopecky ahead of Annemiek van Vleuten and Chantal van den Broek-Blaak. 2022 UCI Women's World Tour
The 2022 UCI Women's World Tour is a competition that includes twenty-five road cycling events throughout the 2022 women's cycling season. It is the seventh edition of the UCI Women's World Tour, the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016. The competition will begin with Strade Bianche on 5 March, and finishes with the Tour de Romandie Féminin on 9 October. Events The race calendar for the 2022 season was announced in June 2021, with twenty-four races initially scheduled – up from eighteen that were held in 2021. In September 2021, the Tour de Romandie Féminin was added to make a total of twenty-five races. The two Chinese races were cancelled in June 2022, making a total of twenty three races. Marlen Reusser (born 20 September 1991) is a Swiss bicycle racing, racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Team, UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career She took up competitive cycling whilst at university, riding in the cycling legs of mixed relay triathlons as an amateur. She entered the road events of the Swiss national cycling championships in 2017, a few months after receiving a racing licence and whilst in the final year of studies for a degree in medicine: she won the Swiss National Time Trial Championships, time trial and was runner up in the Swiss National Road Race Championships, road race. Her success earned her selection for that year's 2017 European Road Championships, European Road Championships. She also rode in the 2017 UCI Road World Championships – Women's time trial, women's time trial event at the 2017 UCI Road World Championships.
