2022 Team Long Track World Championship
The 2022 Team Long Track World Championship also called the Long Track of Nations was the 14th annual FIM Team Long Track World Championship. The final took place on 26 May 2022 in Herxheim, Germany. The 2020 and 2021 events had been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Germany won the event for the ninth time, with two times individual world champion Erik Riss returning to the longtrack after a long break and gaining the crucial heat win in the final that saw Germany beat the Czech Republic by virtue of the race win. Team Long Track World Championship
The FIM Team Long Track World Championship, known officially as the ''Longtrack of Nations'', is an annual track racing event since 2007 organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM). The championship has been won by Germany eight times. The 2020 Championships in Morizès, France and the 2021 Championships in Roden, Netherlands were both cancelled, due to the issues regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Mathias Trésarrieu (born 7 December 2002) is an international motorcycle speedway rider from France. Career Trésarrieu rode in the 2019 Team Speedway Junior European Championship final. He came to prominence in 2022, when he won the bronze medal at the 2022 Team Long Track World Championship. In 2023, he was part of the French team that competed at the 2023 Speedway World Cup in Poland. Tero Kalevi Aarnio (born 17 April 1984) is a Finnish motorcycle speedway rider. Career Aarnio was a member of Finland team at 2007 Speedway World Cup. This led to his signing for Berwick Bandits for the 2008 and 2009 seasons. He then joined Scunthorpe Scorpions in 2010 and 2011 and Workington Comets in 2012 and 2013 He then spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons with Glasgow and Newcastle respectively, the 2016 season with Scunthorpe and returned to Newcastle in 2018. In 2019 he rode for Birmingham. After medalling six times at the Finnish Individual Speedway Championship he finally won the national title, when winning the 2020 Finnish Individual Speedway Championship to become champion of Finland. Adam Skórnicki
Adam Skórnicki (born 22 October 1976 in Wolsztyn, Poland) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. Career Skórnicki started racing in Poland for Unia Leszno in the 1994 Polish Speedway First League; he would spend six seasons with the club until the end of 1999. Skórnicki's first British club was Wolverhampton Wolves, whom he signed for in 2000. He had six successful years there, scoring over 1000 points for the club and winning the Elite League Championship in 2002. His averaged improved from 5.79 in 2000 to 8.14 in 2005. He was loaned out to Lakeside, Oxford and Belle Vue for the next three seasons, all of whom struggled at the bottom of the Elite League table. Zach Wajtknecht (born 8 February 1998) is a British speedway rider. Career At an early age Wajtknecht became a double World Champion, twice triumphing in the FIM 125cc Grasstrack Youth Gold Trophy. He followed up these successes by being crowned British 250cc Youth Champion in 2013 and winner of the FIM 250cc Longtrack Youth World Cup in 2014. These successes led to Zach being awarded the prestigious Pinhard trophy, a trophy he described himself as being "over the moon" to win. Wajtknecht was handed his big break in Speedway by the newly reformed National League Birmingham Brummies ahead of the 2015 season, the team's first season in the third tier of British Speedway.
