2022 Sakhir Formula 3 Round
The 2022 Sakhir FIA Formula 3 round was a motor racing event held on 19 and 20 March 2022 at the Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir, Bahrain. It was the opening round of the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship, and was held in support of the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix. Oliver Bearman
Oliver Bearman (born 8 May 2005) is a British racing driver. He was the 2021 Italian and ADAC Formula 4 champion and is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. He most recently competed for Prema Racing in the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship, ending the championship in third place, seven points off winner Victor Martins. In November 2022, the Italian Prema Racing announced Bearman’s move to FIA Formula 2 for the 2023 season. Career Karting career Bearman started karting competitively in 2013, when he raced in the championship of his local karting club, the Trent Valley Kart Club. He then moved to compete in the Super 1 National Championships, where he managed a best finish of second in 2016 and 2017 respectively, driving in the Cadet category. Zane Maloney
Zane Maloney (born 2 October 2003) is a Barbadian racing driver. He was the 2019 British F4 champion and finished as runner-up in the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship, racing for Trident. In December 2022, it was announced he was joining the Red Bull Junior Team and will be a reserve driver for the Red Bull team in 2023. Career Karting Maloney started racing in North America at the age of 12 and after multiple karting titles in Barbados and America he soon moved over to Europe to compete for Ricky Flynn Motorsport. Maloney placed 4th in the Karting European Championship, 5th in the World Championships and 3rd in the German Championship and WSK Champions Cup respectively in 2018. Reece Ushijima (born 13 January 2003) is a Japanese-American racing driver who is currently racing in the 2023 USF Pro 2000 Championship with Jay Howard Driver Development. He previously competed in the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship for Van Amersfoort Racing. Rafael Villagómez Jr. (born 10 November 2001) is a Mexican race car driver who is currently competing in the 2023 FIA Formula 3 Championship for Van Amersfoort Racing. He won the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy competition in 2019. Jonny Edgar (born 13 February 2004) is an English racing driver currently set to race in the 2023 FIA Formula 3 Championship for MP Motorsport. He is a member of the Red Bull Junior Team and is the 2020 ADAC Formula 4 champion. Career Karting Born in Whitehaven, Edgar started his career in 2012, being in the fourth generation of Edgars to practice motor racing. Edgar began his karting career with Fusion Motorsport in Britain, finishing second in the Super 1 National Championship just three years after his debut. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport. In 1998 the team began by competing in the new Open Fortuna by Nissan, with Marc Gené and Antonio García as drivers. David Vidales Ajenjo (born 1 May 2002) is a Spanish racing driver set to race in the 2023 Super Formula Lights with B-Max Racing. He was a race winner in the FIA Formula 3 Championship for Campos Racing.
