2022 SGP2
The 2022 SGP2 series was the 46th edition of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Individual Speedway Junior World Championship, Individual Under-21 World Championship. It was staged as the SGP2 class of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series after rights holders Discovery Channel, Discovery Sports Events took over promotional rights of the competition prior to the start of the season. The series was staged over three rounds at Prague, Cardiff and Torun. Poland's Mateusz Cierniak won the title, winning two of the three rounds in the process. Jan Kvěch finished second with defending champion Jakub Miśkowiak claiming third. Calendar The 2022 season consisted of three events. Individual Speedway Junior World Championship
The Speedway Under-21 World Championship is an annual speedway event held each year organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) since 1977. As of 2022, the title was awarded to the winner of the SGP2 category at the FIM Speedway World Championship. History Between 1977 and 1987 the Championship was the called Individual Speedway Junior European Championship (European Speedway Under 21 Championship), open only to European riders. In 1979, the Championship allowed riders from other continents to compete, but was renamed to the Speedway World Under 21 Championship in 1988. A new competition was named Individual Speedway Junior European Championship was founded by the European Motorcycle Union (UEM) in 1998, only open to European competitors. Originally it was called the European Under-21 Championship (from 1977-1987) but changed its name in 1988 when it was made open to all nations. Kevin Juhl Pedersen (born 5 September 2001) is a Danish speedway rider. Leon Flint (born 22 February 2003) is a speedway rider from England. Career Flint began his British speedway career riding for Birmingham Brummies during the 2018 National League speedway season.
