2022 Oslo Cup
The 2022 Oslo Cup was held from September 2 to 4 at the Snarøya Curling Club in Oslo, Norway. The event was held in a round robin format with a purse of NOK 112,000 on the men's side and NOK 88,000 on the women's side. It was the first time the event has been held in ten years. On the men's side, Niklas Edin and his Swedish rink of Oskar Eriksson, Rasmus Wranå, and Christoffer Sundgren capped off an undefeated tournament by beating Norway's Steffen Walstad 5–2 in the championship final. Both teams finished the round robin with a perfect 4–0 record and each won their quarterfinal and semifinal matches. It was the first event title for Team Edin of the 2022–23 season as they missed the playoffs at the 2022 Baden Masters, which Team Walstad won. In the third place game, Norway's Magnus Ramsfjell scored six in the first end to beat Scotland's James Craik 6–0. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Kristian Lindström
Kristian Lindström (born 4 November 1989) is a Swedish curler and coach, originally from Uppsala. Career Juniors As a junior curler, Lindström played in three World Junior Curling Championships. His first was the 2007 World Junior Curling Championships playing alternate for the Niklas Edin team which won a silver medal at the event. Lindström then played in the 2009 World Junior Curling Championships throwing last stones for Oskar Eriksson's team. The team finished in fourth place after losing to the United States in both the playoffs and the bronze medal game. The Eriksson rink would return to the World Juniors in 2011 with Lindström continuing to throw last stones. The team ran through the round robin in first place, with just one loss before winning both of their playoff games, including the final against Switzerland's Peter de Cruz. Kyle Waddell
Kyle Waddell (born 15 December 1993 in Bellshill) is a Scottish curler from Hamilton, Scotland. He currently skips his own team. In 2018, he competed for Great Britain at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, placing fifth. He has represented Scotland at three European Curling Championships and three World Junior Curling Championships, winning gold at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships as a member of the Kyle Smith rink. James Craik (curler)
James Craik (born 13 June 2001) is a Scottish curler from Edzell and Stirling. Career Juniors As a junior curler, Craik is a three-time Scottish national champion and three-time World Junior medallist. He and his rink won gold at the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships. He also won a gold medal at the 2023 Winter World University Games. In 2019, he won his first Scottish Junior title, throwing second for the Ross Whyte rink. The team represented Scotland at the 2019 World Junior Curling Championships, where they went undefeated in the round robin, finishing with a 9–0 record. In the playoffs however, they lost to Switzerland in the semifinal, but rebounded to beat Norway in the bronze medal game. The following season, Craik won the Scottish junior title again, this time skipping his own team of Mark Watt, Blair Haswell and Niall Ryder. Magnus Ramsfjell (born 17 July 1997 in Tønsberg) is a Norwegian curler from Trondheim. Career Juniors Ramsfjell was the skip of the Norwegian junior men's team in four straight World Junior Curling Championships from 2016 to 2019. At the 2016 World Junior Curling Championships, Ramsfjell led his team of Bendik Ramsfjell, Magnus Vågberg, Elias Høstmælingen and Eskil Vintervold to a 5-4 round robin record, missing the playoffs. At the 2017 World Junior Curling Championships, his team improved to a 6-3 round robin record, which put them in a tiebreaker game against Canada's Tyler Tardi rink for the final playoff spot.
