2022 Nalley Cars 250
The 2022 Nalley Cars 250 was the fifth stock car race of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series and the 31st iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, in Hampton, Georgia at Atlanta Motor Speedway, a permanent quad-oval racetrack. The race was run over 172 laps due to several overtime finishes. Ty Gibbs of Joe Gibbs Racing would win the race after taking the lead on the final lap. This was Gibbs' sixth career xfinity series win, and his second of the season. To fill out the podium, Austin Hill of Richard Childress Racing and A. J. Allmendinger of Kaulig Racing would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectably. The Performance Racing Network (PRN) is a radio syndication network controlled by Speedway Motorsports (SMI) founded in 1981. PRN airs NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series events held at Speedway Motorsports and Penske Corporation-owned and managed tracks. PRN first began airing the NASCAR events at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Coca-Cola 600, the fall race, but not the NASCAR All-Star Race). Sheldon M. Creed (born September 30, 1997) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 2 Chevrolet Camaro for Richard Childress Racing. He is a member of Drivers Edge Development, a driver development program for Chevrolet-affiliated racers. Born in Alpine, California, Creed grew up competing in short course off-road racing, winning championships in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) and Stadium Super Trucks (SST).
