2022 Menards 250
The 2022 Menards 250 was the eighth stock car race of the 2022 ARCA Menards Series season, the fourth race of the 2022 Sioux Chief Showdown, and the seventh iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, in Elko New Market, Minnesota at Elko Speedway, a 0.375 mile (0.604 km) permanent oval racetrack. The race was contested over 250 laps. Sammy Smith, driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, dominated the entire race, leading all but 17 laps for his 2nd career ARCA Menards Series win, and his second of the season. To fill out the podium, Jesse Love and Landon Pembelton, both driving for Venturini Motorsports, would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively. The Menards 250 is a , 250-lap annual ARCA Menards Series race held at Elko Speedway in Elko New Market, Minnesota. History ARCA debuted at the track in 2012, running at the track for three consecutive years. After 2014, the race was taken off the calendar for the next two seasons, before being added back for the 2017 season, where it has remained since. Samuel Smith (born June 4, 2004) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 18 Toyota Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing. He also competes in the CARS Tour late model racing series, where he has driven for car owners Barry Nelson, Marcus Richmond, and Donnie Wilson as well as Kyle Busch Motorsports. Legends car racing is a style of auto racing designed primarily to promote exciting racing and to keep costs down. The race car bodyshells are 5/8-scale replicas of American automobiles from the 1930s and 1940s, powered by Yamaha XJ1250, FJ1200 (both air-cooled) or, starting in 2018, FZ09 (water-cooled) engines. Eric Caudell (born January 2, 1967) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East, driving the No. 7 Ford/ Toyota for his team, CCM Racing.
