2022 Lucas Oil 200
The 2022 Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire was the first stock car race of the 2022 ARCA Menards Series season and will be the 59th iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, in Daytona Beach, Florida at Daytona International Speedway, a 2.5 mile (4 km) permanent asphalt superspeedway. The race was run over 80 laps. Corey Heim of Venturini Motorsports would win the race after leading the most laps. This was Heim's eighth career ARCA Menards Series win, and his third superspeedway win. Background Daytona International Speedway is one of three superspeedways to hold NASCAR races, the other two being Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. Corey Heim
Corey D. Heim (born July 5, 2002) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 11 Toyota Tundra for TRICON Garage. He has previously competed ARCA Menards Series East and West Series. Racing career Early career Heim raced in Legends cars, winning the 2016 Young Lions division and the 2017 Thursday Thunder Pro division championship at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He later transitioned to running super late models, driving in events sanctioned by the CARS Tour, Southern Super Series, Pro All-Stars Series (PASS), and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. Nicholas A. Sanchez (born June 10, 2001) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 2 Chevrolet Silverado for Rev Racing. He is the 2022 ARCA Menards Series champion. Andy Hillenburg
Andrew Hillenburg (born April 30, 1963) is an American former professional stock car racing driver and current team owner and track owner. His race team, Fast Track Racing, fields multiple cars in the ARCA Menards Series and formerly fielded entries in the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He is credited with reviving the North Carolina Speedway, now known as Rockingham Speedway, after the track lost its NASCAR dates starting in 2005. Benny Chastain (born September 22, 1942) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 01 Ford Fusion for Fast Track Racing. Racing career ARCA Menards Series Benny Chastain didn’t start racing until 1997, when he was 55 years old. After years of success at his local dirt track, he made his ARCA Menards Series debut in 2004 at South Boston Speedway. Chastain finished 22nd in his series debut.
