2022 Grand Prix La Marseillaise
The 2022 Grand Prix Cycliste de Marseille La Marseillaise was the 43rd edition of the Grand Prix La Marseillaise one-day road cycling race. It was held on 30 January 2022 as a category 1.1 race on the 2022 UCI Europe Tour, and as the first event of the 2022 French Road Cycling Cup. The race took place in and around Marseille in southeastern France, starting from the village of in the northeastern part of the city and finishing in downtown Marseille next to the Stade Vélodrome. The race course was undulating, with nine marked climbs along the route totalling approximately of elevation. Three of these climbs, the , the , and the Route des Crêtes, offered points for the mountains classification for the first three riders to crest their respective summits. The last climb, the , crested with left before a downhill run-in to the finish line. 2022 UCI Europe Tour
The 2022 UCI Europe Tour was the eighteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2022 season began on 23 January 2022 with the Trofeo Luis Puig, Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969, and concluded on 16 October 2022 with the Chrono des Nations and the Veneto Classic. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Bryan Coquard (born 25 April 1992) is a French cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He was a silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Omnium. Career Youth and amateur career Coquard began cycling in 1999 at the age of seven, at the US Pontchâteau club. In September 2008, aged sixteen, he joined CREPS Bordeaux, where he was coached by Éric Vermeulen. In 2009, Coquard won the gold medal in the omnium at the UCI Juniors World Championships, as well as winning the scratch at the European championships.
