2022 FAS Tri-Nations Series
The 2022 FAS Tri-Nations Series was a three-team association football tournament held at the National Stadium in Kallang, Singapore between 23 and 29 March 2022 for the men's competition and at Jalan Besar Stadium between 4 and 11 April for the women's competition. The men's tournament was organized by the Football Association of Singapore in conjunction with the Football Association of Malaysia and the Philippine Football Federation as part of the three team's precursor for the third round of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualification matches. The three games in the tournament are authorized by FIFA as International “A” Matches. Singapore were the winners of the men's competition, having defeated both Malaysia (2–1) and the Philippines (2–0) in their respective matches. The women's football tournament at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games was held from 9–21 May 2022 in Vietnam. Seven Southeast Asian nations participated in the women's tournament. All matches were played in Quảng Ninh. There was no age limit for this tournament. Indonesia women's national football team, Indonesia withdrew from the competition after the draw. Malaysia women's national football team, Malaysia withdrew from the competition before the draw. Timor-Leste women's national football team, Timor-Leste did not take part in the competition. Liridon Krasniqi (born 1 January 1992) is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Malaysia Super League club Johor Darul Ta'zim. Muhammad Taqi Aljaafari Bin Jahari (born 25 October 1986) is a Singaporean international football referee. He has been a FIFA listed referee since 2012, and has also refereed a number of AFC Champions League matches. Taqi Aljaafari has also refereed matches in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India. Career Taqi became a Fifa-listed referee in 2012.
