The 2022 European Athletics Championships were the 25th edition of the European Athletics Championships and were held in Munich, Germany, from 15 to 21 August 2022. Mélina Robert-Michon (; born 18 July 1979) is a French discus thrower. She was the silver medalist at the 2013 World Championships and 2016 Summer Olympics and the national record holder. She earned the bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships. Discus career At the 2013 World Championships in Moscow, Robert-Michon won the discus silver medal with her last throw - a distance of 66.28 metres - which broke her own national record (65.78 m) set 11 years prior on 17 July 2002. Her 66.28 metres was much better than her hitherto, 2013 best distance of 63.75m. She had never finished better than eighth place in the final in her four previous World Championships appearances. Lisa Brix Pedersen (born 16 August 1996) is a Danish discus thrower. She is a five-time Danish Athletics Championships winner and the championship record-holder in the discus. Biography Pedersen's first global championship was at the 2013 World U18 Championships in the discus, where she finished 16th in qualification. Pedersen broke the Danish record in the discus for the first time in 2022, at the National Long Throw Championships in Vagos, Portugal. She threw 61.29 m on her first attempt, good for second place and automatically qualifying her for both the European and World Championships. Jorinde van Klinken (; born 2 February 2000) is a Dutch track and field athlete competing in the shot put and discus throw. Her personal best of 70.22m is the current (2021) Dutch record in the discus throw. She represented her country in the discus at the 2019 World Championships in Doha without reaching the final.
