Calli Thackery
Calli Hauger-Thackery (born 9 January 1993) is an English international athlete. She was bronze medalist in the women's half Marathon at the 2024 European Athletics Championships, and a member of the gold medal team in the 2024 European Half-Marathon Cup, held at the same time. She has been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2024 Paris Olympics and represented England at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Her father Carl Thackery was a team GB runner in the 1980's and 90's. Biography Calli Thackery won the 3000-meter run indoors at the 2012 British Universities and Colleges Sport Championships. After winning the 2012 BUCS, she was recruited to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Thackery was educated at the University of New Mexico and in June 2022 recorded a personal best of 15:06.26 for the 5,000 metres placing her 17th on the all-time UK list. Amy-Eloise Markovc OLY (née Neale; born 5 August 1995) is a British middle- and long-distance runner. She won the gold medal in the 3000 metres at the 2021 European Indoor Championships. Markovc is a two-time British national champion. Career Born in Stockport, England, she later moved to the United States and took up track and field. At the age of 14 she won the 2000 metres steeplechase at the 2010 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships. While studying at Glacier Peak High School, Markovc was the Washington state Gatorade Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year for three years running (2011, 2012, 2013). Markovc had top eight finishes each year at the Nike Cross Nationals from 2010 to 2012, with her highest finish being 3rd in 2010. Maureen Koster (; born 3 July 1992) is a Dutch middle-distance runner who competes in track and cross country running events. She won the bronze medal in the 3000 metres at the 2015 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Prague. She was born in Gouda. Se represented her country at the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics and the 2013 World Championships in Athletics. She ran in the under-23 section at the 2013 and 2014 European Cross Country Championships, winning a team bronze on the first attempt and coming fifth individually in the latter edition. Karoline Bjerkeli Grøvdal (born 14 June 1990) is a Norwegian middle-, long-distance and steeplechase runner. She won bronze medals for the 10,000 metres at the 2016 European Championships, and in the 3000 m steeplechase at the 2018 European Championships. Ejgayehu Taye (born 10 February 2000) is an Ethiopian Olympic long-distance runner. She won the bronze medal for the 3000 metres at the 2022 World Indoor Championships. Taye is the current world record holder in the 5 km road race.
