2022 Croatian Bus Crash
On 6 August 2022, a bus crash in Croatia killed 12 people. It was the deadliest road incident in the country since 2008. Events The bus left Częstochowa on 5 August, and was carrying Polish pilgrims of the Brotherhood of St Joseph Catholic group to a shrine in Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Varaždinske Toplice
Varaždinske Toplice ( hu, Varasdfürdő; german: Warasdin-Töplitz or ; Kajkavian: ) is a small town in northern part of Croatia in Varaždin County. The town has been well known throughout the centuries for its hot springs as well as a medical center. In Ancient Rome it was known as Aquae Iasae. The A4 motorway ( hr, Autocesta A4) is a motorway in Croatia spanning . It connects the nation's capital, Zagreb, to the city of Varaždin and to Budapest, Hungary via the Goričan border crossing. The motorway represents a major north–south transportation corridor in Croatia and is a part of European routes E65 and E71. The A4 motorway route also follows Pan-European corridor Vb. Medjugorje
Medjugorje ( sh-Latn-Cyrl, separator=" / ", Međugorje, Међугорје, ) is a town located in southwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina, about southwest of Mostar and east of the border with Croatia. Andrej Plenković ( ; born 8 April 1970) is a Croatian politician who has been serving as the prime minister of Croatia since 19 October 2016. He was previously one of eleven Croatian members of the European Parliament, serving from Croatia's accession to the European Union in 2013 until his resignation as MEP when he took office as prime minister.
