The 2022 Baku FIA Formula 2 round was a motor racing event held between 10 and 12 June 2022 at the Baku City Circuit, Baku, Azerbaijan. It was the sixth round of the 2022 FIA Formula 2 Championship and was held in support of the 2022 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying Jüri Vips took his second pole position of the year for Hitech Grand Prix, ahead of fellow Red Bull Junior Team drivers Liam Lawson and Dennis Hauger. Sprint race Feature race The Feature Race was originally scheduled to be completed for 29 laps before the race distance was being shortened due to the maximum race time being reached after multiple Safety Car periods. The Baku City Circuit ( az, Bakı Şəhər Halqası) is a motor racing street circuit located in Baku, Azerbaijan constructed near Baku Boulevard. A lap of the circuit is , making it the third-longest circuit on the Formula One calendar (after Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and Jeddah Street Circuit). The Red Bull Junior Team is a driver development program run by the energy drink company Red Bull GmbH in an attempt to identify potential future racing stars in open wheel racing. The similar Red Bull Driver Search, now ended, was an American spinoff of the same idea held in 2005. Members of the Junior Team are financed and sponsored by Red Bull in lower racing formulae. Enzo Fittipaldi da Cruz (born 18 July 2001) is a Brazilian-American racing driver, who is set to compete in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Carlin. Théo Jérôme Julien Pourchaire (born 20 August 2003) is a French racing driver, who most recently competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for the ART Grand Prix team and the reigining Formula 2 vice-champion. He is currently a member of the Sauber Academy. Pourchaire started racing in single-seaters in 2018, and proceeded to win the Junior French F4 Championship.
