2022 Alsco Uniforms 300 (Charlotte)
The 2022 Alsco Uniforms 300 was the thirteenth stock car race of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series and the 45th iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, May 28, 2022, in Concord, North Carolina at Charlotte Motor Speedway, a permanent quad-oval racetrack. The race was contested over 200 laps. At race's end, Josh Berry, driving for JR Motorsports, took the win, after an exciting battle with teammate Justin Allgaier with 80 laps to go. This was Berry's 4th career Xfinity Series win, and his second of the season. To fill out the podium, Ty Gibbs of Joe Gibbs Racing and Sam Mayer of JR Motorsports would finish second and third, respectively. Motor Racing Network (MRN) is a U.S. radio network that syndicates broadcasts of auto racing events, particularly NASCAR. MRN was founded in 1970 by NASCAR founder Bill France, Sr. and broadcaster Ken Squier, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of NASCAR. Its first broadcast was the 1970 Daytona 500. The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) is a drag racing governing body, which sets rules in drag racing and hosts events all over the United States and Canada. Ollen Bruton Smith (March 3, 1927 – June 22, 2022) was a promoter and owner/CEO of NASCAR track owner Speedway Motorsports, Inc. He was inducted into NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2016 and the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2007. He was billionaire on the Forbes 400 list.
