The 2021–22 season was Southampton's 10th consecutive season in the Premier League and the 105th season in existence. This season, the club participated in the Premier League, FA Cup and EFL Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022. Southampton () is a port city in the ceremonial county of Hampshire in southern England. It is located approximately south-west of London and west of Portsmouth. Theo Walcott
Theo James Walcott (born 16 March 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Southampton and previously for the English national team. Walcott is a product of the Southampton Academy and started his career with Southampton before joining Arsenal for £5 million in 2006. Willy Caballero
Wilfredo Daniel Caballero Lazcano (born 28 September 1981) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Southampton. He spent most of his career in Spain, representing Elche and Málaga and competing in La Liga with the latter club. In the summer of 2014 he signed for Manchester City, helping them win the 2016 League Cup. In 2017, he joined Chelsea where he was a backup keeper for four seasons. Lyanco Evangelista Silveira Neves Vojnovic (, born 1 February 1997), known as Lyanco, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Premier League club Southampton. Thierry Small (born 1 August 2004) is an English footballer who plays as a left-back for club Charlton Athletic. Small became the youngest player in Everton's history in January 2021, aged 16 years and 176 days, but turned professional with Southampton shortly after turning 17.
