2021–22 San Antonio Spurs Season
The 2021–22 San Antonio Spurs season was the 55th season of the franchise, its 46th in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and its 49th in the San Antonio area. For the first time since 2010–11, long-time point guard Patty Mills is not on the roster, as he signed with the Brooklyn Nets on August 10, 2021. Mills was previously the longest tenured player on the Spurs roster, and the last player from the 2013–14 championship season to remain on the roster. Mills' departure made sixth-year point guard Dejounte Murray the new longest tenured player on the roster. Gregg Popovich
Gregg Charles Popovich (born January 28, 1949) is an American professional basketball coach and executive who is the president and head coach of the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Taking over as coach of the Spurs in 1996, Popovich is the longest tenured active coach in the NBA as well as all other major sports leagues in the United States. Often called "Coach Pop", Popovich has the most wins of any coach in NBA history, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in NBA history. NBA Play-In Tournament
The NBA Play-In Tournament is the preliminary National Basketball Association (NBA) postseason tournament. It determines the final two playoff seeds in the Eastern Conference and Western Conference and is played immediately prior to the NBA Playoffs, which is the main tournament of the postseason and regarded by the league as separate from the Play-In Tournament. Teams finishing the regular season in positions 7 through 10 in the standings for each conference compete to determine the number 7 and 8 seeds in each conference's bracket tournament. Jakob Pöltl
Jakob Pöltl (sometimes spelled Jakob Poeltl; ; born October 15, 1995) is an Austrian professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Utah Utes. In his sophomore year for the Utes, Pöltl was a consensus second-team All-American, and won the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award and Pete Newell Big Man Award as the top collegiate center and low-post player, respectively. Joshua Lincoln Alexander Primo (born December 24, 2002) is a Canadian professional basketball player who last played for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). NBA G League
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. Darius Songaila (born February 14, 1978) is a Lithuanian professional basketball coach and former player. He serves as an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has represented the Lithuania national team. Joseph Hinman Wieskamp (born August 23, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
