2021–22 Nashville Predators Season
The 2021–22 Nashville Predators season was the 24th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on June 25, 1997. John Hynes entered his third season and second full season as head coach of the team. The Predators opened the season at home on October 14, 2021, against the NHL's expansion team, the Seattle Kraken. The Predators lost the game 4–3, giving the Kraken the franchise's first-ever win. On April 26, 2022, the Predators clinched a playoff berth after the Dallas Stars defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in a shootout. In the playoffs, the Predators were swept in the first round by the Colorado Avalanche. Central Division (NHL)
The NHL's Central Division was formed in 1993 as part of the Western Conference in a league realignment. Its predecessor was the Norris Division and its also one of two successors to the Northwest Division. The Chicago Blackhawks have been a member of the Central Division in all of its seasons since the original 1993 realignment. The Arizona Coyotes (as the original Winnipeg Jets), Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues were also original members of the division, but were realigned to a different division for a while before returning; both the Coyotes and Stars were moved to the Pacific Division in 1998 (the Stars moved back to the Central in 2013, and the Coyotes followed in 2021), while the Blues were moved to the West Division during the temporary 2021 realignment. Juuse Saros
Juuse Saros (born 19 April 1995) is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). Saros was selected by the Predators in the fourth round (99th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Saros was born in Forssa but grew up in Hämeenlinna. He played his entire youth career and first three professional seasons with hometown club, HPK of the Liiga. On 16 June 2015, he was signed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Nashville Predators, having been drafted by Nashville in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Amalie Arena (officially stylized as AMALIE Arena) is a multipurpose arena in Tampa, Florida, that has been used for ice hockey, basketball, arena football, concerts, and other events. David Rittich
David Rittich Jr. (born 19 August 1992) is a Czech professional ice hockey goaltender for the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has previously played for the Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs and Nashville Predators. Rittich was an NHL All-Star in 2020 and has represented his native Czech Republic internationally. The 2021–22 Florida Panthers season was the 29th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established in 1993. Head coach Joel Quenneville returned to coach his third season with the team. The Panthers began the season 3–0–0 for the second time in team history in as many years. Quenneville resigned from his coaching duties as a result of the fallout from the 2010 Chicago Blackhawks sexual assault scandal on October 28, 2021. The Colorado Avalanche (colloquially known as the Avs) are a professional ice hockey team based in Denver. The 2021–22 Seattle Kraken season was the inaugural season for the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise. They played their home games at Climate Pledge Arena.
