2021–22 Duke Blue Devils Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team represented Duke University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Blue Devils played their home games at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina, as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. On June 2, 2021, the school announced that Coach Mike Krzyzewski would retire following the completion of the 2021–22 season after 42 years as head coach of Duke and 47 years of coaching. Associate head coach Jon Scheyer was named the head coach in waiting to become the team's new head coach after the conclusion of the season. After losing to longtime rival North Carolina in their final home game, the team made it to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019, as the 2020 tournament was cancelled and Duke did not make the 2021 tournament. Duke reached the Final Four for the 13th time under Krzyzewski, where they again lost to North Carolina 81–77 in their first-ever NCAA tournament meeting. ...

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is a collegiate athletic conference located in the eastern United States. 2020–21 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2020–21 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2020, followed by the start of the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play started in December 2020 and concluded in March with the 2021 ACC men's basketball tournament at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Jaemyn Mikal Brakefield (born December 19, 2000) is an American college basketball player for the Ole Miss Rebels of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). He previously played for the Duke Blue Devils. Jalen Tyrese Johnson (born December 18, 2001) is an American professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Austin Peay Governors men's basketball team represents Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. Nate James (born August 7, 1977) is a former American basketball player and currently the head coach at Austin Peay. College career James, a 6'6" (1.98 m) swingman out of Saint John's at Prospect Hall, played for coach Mike Krzyzewski at Duke from 1996 to 2001.
