2021 Virginia Cavaliers Women's Soccer Team
The 2021 Virginia Cavaliers women's soccer team represented the University of Virginia during the 2021 NCAA Division I women's soccer season. The Cavaliers were led by head coach Steve Swanson, in his twenty second season. They played home games at Klöckner Stadium. This was the team's 36th season playing organized women's college soccer and their 34th playing in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Cavaliers finished the season 18–3–2 and 8–0–2 in ACC play to finish as regular season champions. As the top seed in the ACC Tournament they received a bye into the Semifinals. They defeated Clemson before losing to Florida State in the Final. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and were one of the four number one seeds. They defeated High Point in the First Round and Milwaukee in the Second Round before losing to BYU in the Sweet 16 to end their season. Klöckner Stadium
Klöckner Stadium is a multi-purpose sports stadium located on the campus of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. The stadium is home to the Virginia Cavaliers's men's and women's soccer team in the fall, and the men's and women's lacrosse teams in the spring. The Richmond Spiders represent the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia. The Central Michigan Chippewas are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Central Michigan University (CMU), located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The school fields sixteen men's and women's intercollegiate teams that compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level. 2020 Florida State Seminoles Women's Soccer Team
The 2020 Florida State Seminoles women's soccer team represented Florida State University during the 2020 NCAA Division I women's soccer season. It was the 26th season of the university fielding a program. The Seminoles were led by 16th year head coach Mark Krikorian. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ACC played a reduced schedule in 2020 and the NCAA Tournament was postponed to 2021. The Seminoles finished the fall season 11–0–0, 8–0–0 in ACC play, to finish in first place. As the first seed in the ACC Tournament, they defeated Notre Dame, Duke, and finally North Carolina to claim the championship. The TCU Horned Frogs are the athletic teams that represent Texas Christian University.
