2021 Thailand Champions Cup
The 2021 Thailand Champions Cup was the 5th Thailand Champions Cup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Thai League 1 and Thai FA Cup competitions. It was sponsored by Daikin, and known as the Daikin Thailand Champions Cup ( th, ไดกิ้น ไทยแลนด์แชมเปียนส์คัพ) for sponsorship purposes. The match was played on 1 September 2021 at the 700th Anniversary of Chiangmai Stadium in Mae Rim, Chiangmai and contested by 2020–21 Thai League 1 champions BG Pathum United, and Chiangrai United as the champions of the 2020–21 Thai FA Cup. It has live broadcast on Channel 5 HD and AIS Play. Thailand Champions Cup
The Thailand Champions Cup (continuing Kor Royal Cup, a different competition from the Thai Super Cup) is a single-game competition between the winners of previous Thai League 1 and Thai FA Cup, organised by the Football Association of Thailand. If the Thai League 1 champions also won the FA Cup, then the league runners-up provide the opposition. The first edition started in 2017 in order to replace the Kor Royal Cup. Channel 5 (Full Name : Royal Thai Army Radio and Television Station; also known as Thai TV5 or simply TV5) is a Thai free-to-air television network owned by the Royal Thai Army, launched on 25 January 1958. History Launched on 25 January 1958, as HSATV Channel 7 and migrated from broadcasting in black-and-white to a colour television as Channel 5 in 1974. Diogo Luís Santo (born 26 May 1987), known simply as Diogo, is a Brazilian professional footballer as a striker. Sumanya Purisai ( th, สุมัญญา ปุริสาย, born 5 December 1986) is a Thai professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Uthai Thani.
