The 2021 Open 13 Provence was a men's tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It is the 29th edition of the Open 13, and part of the ATP Tour 250 series of the 2021 ATP Tour. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Alex Molčan (born 1 December 1997) is a Slovak professional tennis player. Molčan has a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 38 achieved on 23 May 2022. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of No. 268 achieved on 14 June 2021. He is currently the No. 1 Slovak tennis player in singles. Constant Lestienne (; born 23 May 1992) is a French professional tennis player. He competes mainly on the ITF Men's Circuit and ATP Challenger Tour. Michael Mackenzie Lowe "Mackie" McDonald (born April 16, 1995) is an American professional tennis player. He reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 48 on 1 August 2022, and No. 90 in doubles on 17 October 2022. He won the 2016 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships in both singles and doubles. Hugo Gaston (; born 26 September 2000) is a French tennis player. His career high ATP ranking in singles is world No. 58, which he achieved on 11 July 2022, and in doubles is world No. 220, which he achieved on 16 May 2022.
