2021 Offaly Senior Hurling Championship
The 2021 Offaly Senior Hurling Championship was the 123rd staging of the Offaly Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Offaly County Board in 1896. The group stage placings were confirmed on 28 May 2021. The championship began on 28 August 2021 and ended on 21 November 2021. St. Rynagh's were the defending champions. Drumcullen and Kinnitty joined the championship as the number of participating teams increased from eight to ten. The final was played on 21 November 2021 at Bord na Móna O'Connor Park in Tullamore, between St. Rynagh's and Coolderry, in what was their first meeting in a final in six years. St. Rynagh's won the match by 1-11 to 0-12 to claim their 20th championship title overall and a third title in succession. Seir Kieran is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in a parish and Electoral Division of the same name (population c.460). Seir Kieran takes its name from Saint Ciarán of Saighir, who founded the parish as a ''civitas'' (a monastic city) in the 5th century. The club's playing facilities are based in the village of Clareen in County Offaly, Ireland. Seir Kieran caters mainly for players of the games of hurling and camogie, although the club has also competed in the Offaly football competitions and reached the Offaly Senior Football Semi-final in 1927. Ferbane/Belmont GAA is a football club in the Gaelic Athletic Association located in Ferbane in County Offaly, Ireland, 13 miles from Birr. The Ferbane GAA field is located in the town of Ferbane on the Ballycumber Road. Ferbane play in the Offaly championship. Tullamore (; ) is the county town of County Offaly in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is on the Grand Canal (Ireland), Grand Canal, in the middle of the county, and is the fourth most populous town in the Midland Region, Ireland, midlands region with 14,607 inhabitants at the 2016 census. O'Connor Park
O'Connor Park ( ga, Páirc Uí Chonchúir) is a GAA stadium in Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland. It is one of the principal grounds of the Offaly GAA Gaelic football and hurling teams. It is known for sponsorship reasons as Bord na Móna O’Connor Park. The ground was opened in 1934, to replace Ballyduff Park, and currently has a capacity of 18,000. The ground currently consists of a covered stand on one side of the pitch, with terracing on the other three. A stand was built in 1991, but replaced by the current structure in 2006.
