2021 Moto2 World Championship
The 2021 FIM Moto2 World Championship was a part of the 73rd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Remy Gardner won the world championship in the final race at Valencia. This season also saw the retirement of the intermediate class veteran Thomas Lüthi, as well the final season a 250cc-era debutant participated in the intermediate class. Teams and riders All teams used series-specified Dunlop tyres and Triumph 765cc 3-cylinder engines. Team changes * On 27 November 2020, Mandalika Racing Team Indonesia entered the series partnering with SAG Team under the name "Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team" and retaining the existing SAG Team riders Thomas Lüthi and Kasma Daniel. The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM; en, International Motorcycling Federation) is the global governing/sanctioning body of motorcycle racing. It represents 116 national motorcycle federations that are divided into six regional continental unions. There are seven motorcycle-racing disciplines that FIM covers, encompassing 82 world championships as well as hundreds of secondary championships: enduro, trial, circuit racing, motocross and supermoto, cross-country, e-bike, and track racing. Gresini Racing is a motorcycle racing team competing in the MotoGP World Championship under the name Gresini Racing MotoGP as a Ducati satellite team, in the Moto2 World Championship as Team Gresini Moto2, and the MotoE World Cup as Felo Gresini MotoE. Samuel Deane Lowes (born 14 September 1990) is a British motorcycle racer competing in the Moto2 World Championship aboard a Kalex since 2019, and is part of the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team. Cameron Charles Beaubier (born December 6, 1992) is an American motorcycle racer. He won the MotoAmerica championship 5 times. In 2022 he rode a Kalex in the Moto2 World Championship.
