2021 Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks Football Team
The 2021 Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks football team represented the University of Louisiana at Monroe in the 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Warhawks played their home games at Malone Stadium in Monroe, Louisiana, and competed in the West Division of the Sun Belt Conference. They were led by first-year head coach Terry Bowden. Previous season The Warhawks finished the 2020 season with a 0–10 record (0–7 in conference), finishing dead last at fifth in the Sun Belt West Division. Louisiana–Monroe was not invited to any postseason competition. Following the season, head coach Matt Viator was fired after amassing a record of 19–39 over his five years serving in his capacity. Terry Bowden
Terry Wilson Bowden (; born February 24, 1956) is an American college football coach, currently the head coach at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Bowden was previously head coach at Salem University (1983–1985), Samford University (1987–1992), Auburn University (1993–1998), the University of North Alabama (2009–2011), and the University of Akron (2012–2018). He is a son of former Florida State University head football coach Bobby Bowden and a brother of Tommy Bowden, former head football coach at Clemson University, and Jeff Bowden, the former offensive coordinator at Florida State who served as Terry's special teams coordinator at Akron. Education Bowden attended and played football for West Virginia University, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, and graduated ''magna cum laude'' with a degree in accounting. West Monroe High School
West Monroe High School is a high school in West Monroe, Louisiana, United States. It is administered by the Ouachita Parish School Board. WMHS is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school's mascot is The Rebel Man. West Monroe, Louisiana
West Monroe is a city in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is situated on the Ouachita River, across from the neighboring city of Monroe.
