2021 Kerry Senior Football Championship
The 2021 Kerry Senior Football Championship was the 120th edition of Kerry GAA's premier Gaelic football tournament for senior teams in County Kerry, Ireland. The tournament consists of 16 teams (8 club teams and 8 divisional teams), with the winners representing Kerry in the Munster Senior Club Football Championship if they are a club team. If the winners are a divisional team the winners of the Kerry Club Football Championship represent the county. The championship usually has a back-door format for the first two rounds before proceeding to a knock-out format. Generally, any team to lose two matches will be knocked out of the championship. This year however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic seen the competition employ a straight knockout format. Kerry Senior Football Championship
The Kerry Senior Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as Garvey’s SuperValu Senior Football Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Kerry County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1889 for the top Gaelic football teams in the county of Kerry in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months, with the county final currently being played in either Austin Stack Park or FitzGerald Stadium in October. Initially played as a knock-out competition, the championship currently uses a double elimination format whereby each team is guaranteed at least two games. The Kerry County Championship is an integral part of the wider Munster Senior Club Football Championship. Templenoe
Templenoe () is a civil parish in County Kerry, Ireland. It is situated four miles from Kenmare, on the N70 road to Sneem, which forms part of the Ring of Kerry. Templenoe GAA
Templenoe GAA (Irish: ''CLG Teampall Nua'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Templenoe in County Kerry, Ireland. The club competes as a joint divisional side with other clubs from the Kenmare area like Tuosist GAA in the county championship and as an individual club in other competitions. Hurling was by far the stronger of the two codes until the 1920s. However, since then Gaelic football has taken pride of place and hurling is no longer played in the club. The club was founded in 1933 but did not affiliate to the GAA until 1938. History The first club meeting was held in 1933 in the Merino House. Dan O'Reilly became the club's first chairman and P.D.M. Mid Kerry GAA
Mid Kerry is one of the divisions of Kerry Gaelic Athletic Association. It organizes Gaelic football and hurling competitions for the clubs within the division and fields teams in county competitions. The division is based around the town of Killorglin and neighbouring parishes. Kenmare () is a small town in the south of County Kerry, Ireland. The name Kenmare is the anglicised form of ''Ceann Mara'', meaning "head of the sea", referring to the head of Kenmare Bay. Kenmare GAA (Irish: ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Kenmare in County Kerry. Feale Rangers is a North Kerry Divisional Gaelic football team in Kerry. The teams involved are Clounmacon, Duagh, Finuge, Gale Rangers, Listowel Emmets, Moyvane and St Senan's. History The first mention of Feale Rangers was in 1956 when a Feale Rangers side represented North Kerry in the Kerry Senior Football Championship after two previous sides, North Kerry and Shannon Rangers joined forces.
