2021 Cork Premier Senior Football Championship
The 2021 Cork Premier Senior Football Championship was the second staging of the Cork Premier Senior Football Championship and the 133rd staging overall of a championship for the top-ranking Gaelic football teams in Cork. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 29 April 2021. The championship began on 20 July 2021 and ended on 28 November 2021. Nemo Rangers entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they failed to make it out of the group stage after suffering two defeats. Ilen Rovers were relegated after being beaten by Carrigaline in a playoff. The final was played on 28 November 2021 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, between Clonakilty and St. Finbarr's, in what was their second ever final meeting and their first in 11 years. St. Finbarr's won the match by 0-14 to 0-13 to claim their tenth championship title overall and a first title since 2018. Steven Sherlock was the championship's top scorer with 3-41. The 2009 Cork Senior Football Championship was the 121st staging of the Cork Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the opening fixtures took place on 14 December 2008. The championship began on 18 April 2009 and ended on 9 October 2009. Nemo Rangers entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Carbery at the quarter-final stage. On 27 September 2009, Clonakilty won the championship following a 1-13 to 1-12 defeat of St. Finbarr's in the final. Carbery Rangers GAA
Carbery Rangers is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village of Rosscarbery, County Cork, Ireland. The club is solely concerned with the game of Gaelic football. History Located in Rosscarbery in West Cork, Carbery Rangers was founded on 10 November 1887. The club played its first match just under a month later in a field which was part of the lands of Downeen Castle. Carbery Rangers first came to countywide notice when they contested and lost back-to-back Cork SFC finals in 1905 and 1906. Innishannon or Inishannon () is a large village on the main Cork (city), Cork–Bandon, County Cork, Bandon road (N71 road (Ireland), N71) in County Cork, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Ballincollig () is a suburban town within the administrative area of Cork city in Ireland. It is located on the western side of Cork city, beside the River Lee on the R608 regional road. Ballincollig GAA is a Gaelic football and hurling club based in the town of Ballincollig, County Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated with the Cork GAA board and plays in the Muskerry divisional competitions. Togher () is a suburb on the southside of Cork city, Ireland. Togher is within the Dáil constituency of Cork South-Central. Geography Togher is bounded to the north by The Lough, to the south by Ballincrannig and Farmers Cross, to the east by Ballyphehane and to the west by Waterfall and Wilton.
