2021 Brussels Cycling Classic
The 2021 Brussels Cycling Classic was the 101st edition of the Brussels Cycling Classic road cycling one day race, which was held on 28 August 2021 as part of the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and the 2021 UCI ProSeries calendars. The 2021 edition featured a more hilly and undulating course than those of the past few editions, with two ascents of the Muur van Geraardsbergen among the several cobbled climbs along the route. Remco Evenepoel () took advantage of several breakaway companions going the wrong way with to go before attacking and dropping Aimé De Gendt () about later. Evenepoel rode across the finish line solo to take his second one-day race victory in three days, having won Druivenkoers Overijse two days prior. 2021 UCI Europe Tour
The 2021 UCI Europe Tour was the 17th season of the UCI Europe Tour. The season began on 24 January 2021 with the Trofeo Luis Puig, Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969 – Gran Premio Valencia and ended on 24 October 2021 with the Ronde van Drenthe. Throughout the season, points were awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determined how many points are awarded to the top finishers; the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points were awarded. Fernando Gaviria Rendón (born 19 August 1994) is a Colombian professional road and track racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He is well known as a sprinter. Riding for the Colombian national cycling team, Gaviria came to international attention at the 2015 Tour de San Luis, where he beat former world champion Mark Cavendish in two sprint finishes. Brandon Alexander McNulty (born April 2, 1998) is an American cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeam . In the 2016 UCI Road World Championships – Men's junior time trial, 2016 UCI Junior World Time Trial Championships McNulty became the fourth American junior world champion after Greg LeMond, Jeff Evanshine, and Taylor Phinney, winning the time trial by 35 seconds. Marc Hirschi (born 24 August 1998) is a Swiss cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career In September 2018 it was announced that he would join from 2019 on a three-year contract, having been a member of in 2018.
