2021 BNXT Supercup
The 2021 BNXT Supercup was the inaugural edition of the BNXT Supercup, the supercup of the newly established BNXT League. The game was played on 11 September 2021 in the Maaspoort in 's-Hertogenbosch. The game featured ZZ Leiden, winners of the 2020–21 Dutch Basketball League, facing Filou Oostende, the winners of the 2020–21 Pro Basketball League. Match details Oostende easily beat Leiden in the first Supercup game. Oostende guard Keye van der Vuurst de Vries recorded a career-high 13 assists for the winning team, while Levi Randolph led the team in scoring with 16 points. References {{B.s. ZZ Leiden
ZZ Leiden Basketball, also known as Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden, is a basketball club based in Leiden, Netherlands. The club plays in the BNXT League, the domestic first tier league. 2020–21 Pro Basketball League
The 2020–21 Pro Basketball League (PBL) was the 94th season of the Pro Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Belgium. The regular season was supposed to start in September 2020 but was delayed to 2 October 2020 due to new coronavirus restrictions. It is the last season as the PBL, as in the following season the multinational BNXT League commences. It will be the first season after the 2019–20 season was ended prematurely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Marijn Ververs
Marijn Ververs (born 17 September 1998) is a Dutch basketball player for ZZ Leiden of the Dutch Basketball League (DBL). Professional career Ververs, a product of the ZZ Leiden youth academy, made his professional debut with the senior team the 2016–17 season under coach Paul Vervaeck. In June 2020, Ververs signed a 2-year extension with Leiden. In the 2020–21 season, he was named captain of the team. In the 2020–21 season, he won his first DBL championship with Leiden. Arūnas Mikalauskas (born 14 September 1997) is a Lithuanian basketball player for Crailsheim Merlins of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). Standing at , he plays as small forward. Career Born in Klaipėda, Mikalauskas started his career with his hometown team Neptūnas and the Vladas Knašius Basketball School. In 2019, Mikalauskas signed with Dutch side Aris Leeuwarden. Asbjørn Midtgaard
Asbjørn Engelhardt Midtgaard (born 20 September 1997) is a Danish professional basketball player. He last played for the Antwerp Giants of the BNXT League. He played college basketball for the Wichita State Shockers and the Grand Canyon Antelopes. Early life and career Midtgaard grew up playing handball and football, as well as weightlifting and judo. Keye van der Vuurst de Vries (born 29 December 2001) is a Dutch basketball player for Filou Oostende of the BNXT League. He is the youngest player to ever play in the Netherlands national basketball team, as he made his debut at age 16. 2020–21 Dutch Basketball League
The 2020–21 Dutch Basketball League (DBL) was the 61st season of the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. The season started on 3 October 2020 and ended on 27 May 2021. It was the first season after the 2019–20 season was ended prematurely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The league expanded to 12 teams with the addition of Yoast United, Almere Sailors and The Hague Royals. This marked the highest number of teams since the 2007–08 season.
