The 2021 Albanian Supercup was the 28th edition of the Albanian Supercup, an annual Albanian football match. The teams were decided by taking the previous season's Kategoria Superiore champions and the winners of the Albanian Cup. The match was contested by Teuta, champions of the 2020–21 Kategoria Superiore, and Vllaznia, the 2020–21 Albanian Cup winners. 2020–21 Albanian Cup
2020–21 Albanian Cup () was the sixty-ninth season of Albania's annual cup competition, the Albanian Cup. Teuta were the defending champions. Vllaznia won the cup, their seventh title in the competition. Format Unlike the previous season, all ties are played in a one-leg format, due to a congested schedule. If the score is tied after the regular time, the match is decided by extra time and a penalty shoot-out, if necessary. The preliminary round did not take place. First round All 27 eligible teams of the 2020–21 Kategoria Superiore and Kategoria e Parë entered in this round along with 5 teams from the Kategoria e Dytë. Sebino Plaku (born 20 May 1985) is an Albanian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Football Superleague of Kosovo club SC Gjilani. Club career Early career Plaku joined the Partizani academy as a teenager and was eventually promoted to the first team ahead of the 2003–04 season, where he made six Kategoria Superiore appearances in the first half of the season. 2020–21 Kategoria Superiore
The 2020–21 Kategoria Superiore was the 82nd official season, or 85th season of top-tier football in Albania (including three unofficial championships during World War II) and the 21st season under the name Kategoria Superiore. The season ended on 26 May 2021. It was initially planned to begin on 12 September 2020 but it was delayed after all participating clubs decided to boycott the competition, until the government would meet their demands. After 2 months of negotiations, the clubs ended the boycott and agreed to begin the season on 4 November 2020. Teuta won the league title on 26 May 2021, on the final matchday. Klubi I Futbollit Vllaznia Shkodër, commonly known as Vllaznia is an Albanian football club based in the city of Shkodër. It is the association football branch of the Vllaznia Sports Club, which was founded on 16 February 1919. It is also the oldest club in Albania which means it is the first club created in Albania.
