2020–21 Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. Season
The 2020–21 season was the 143rd season in the history of the English football club Wolverhampton Wanderers. The club competed in the Premier League for the third consecutive season and also participated in this season's edition of the FA Cup and EFL Cup. The entire season took place against the backdrop of the global COVID-19 pandemic, which necessitated the players' compliance with strict restrictions on contact as well as a lack of fans at all Wolves' home matches until the final day of the campaign. The team also had to contend with several long-term injuries, including the leading goalscorer of the previous seasons, Raúl Jiménez, who suffered a fractured skull during an aerial collision in a 2–1 win at Arsenal on 29 November 2020. Nuno Espírito Santo
Nuno Herlander Simões Espírito Santo (born 25 January 1974), often referred to as simply Nuno, is a Portuguese football manager and former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is currently the manager of Saudi Professional League club Al-Ittihad. During his career he first made a name for himself in Spain, playing for three teams in five years. He later returned to Portugal to represent Porto, and also played professionally in Russia; he was part of the Portuguese squad at UEFA Euro 2008, but never won a cap for the national team. Espírito Santo started his coaching career at Greek club Panathinaikos as an assistant. He became a coach in 2012, leading Portuguese club Rio Ave to both domestic cup finals in 2014. Rodrigo Hernández Cascante (born 22 June 1996), known as Rodri or Rodrigo, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for club Manchester City and the Spain national team. Benjamin Mendy
Benjamin Mendy (born 17 July 1994) is a French professional footballer who plays as a left-back for club Manchester City. He played for the France national team from 2017 until 2019. After coming through Le Havre's youth academy, Mendy began his playing career with the club's reserve team in 2010, eventually being promoted to the first team a year later. Philip Walter Foden (born 28 May 2000) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Manchester City and the England national team.
