2020–21 Kent State Golden Flashes Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Kent State Golden Flashes men's basketball team represented Kent State University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Golden Flashes, led by 10th-year head coach Rob Senderoff, played their home games at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center, also known as the MAC Center, in Kent, Ohio as members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). It was the program's 105th season of play and 70th as a member of the MAC. Previous season The Golden Flashes finished the 2019–20 season 20–12 overall, 9–9 in MAC play to finish fourth place in the East Division. They defeated Eastern Michigan in the first round of the MAC tournament before the rest of the tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rob Senderoff
Robert Andrew Senderoff (born July 25, 1973) is the head men's basketball coach at Kent State Golden Flashes men's basketball, Kent State University. The winningest and longest-tenured coach in program history, he has led the Flashes to a Mid-American Conference regular season title as well as NCAA Tournament appearances in 2017 and 2023. Personal and early life Senderoff is a native of Spring Valley, New York. He played basketball for his high school team. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from University at Albany in 1995, and was also a student assistant with the basketball program. He then moved on to Miami University, where he was a graduate assistant and earned a master's degree in sports studies in 1997. He is married to Lauren (née Edelstein), with a son and daughter, Ray and Samantha. He is Jewish, and is a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Hudson, Ohio, and lives in Stow, Ohio. Mineral Area College is a public community college in Park Hills, Missouri. Students can complete a wide variety of certificate and 2-year degree programs. The Temple Owls men's basketball team represents Temple University in the sport of basketball.
