2020–21 Brisbane Roar FC Season
The 2020–21 Brisbane Roar FC season is the club's 16th season. The club will participate in the A-League for the 16th time. The club will not compete in the 2020 FFA Cup due to the event being cancelled following the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia. The club was scheduled to play in the 2021 AFC Champions League qualifying play-offs in June 2021, but withdrew from the competition on 4 June 2021. Golgol Mebrahtu (born 28 August 1990) is an Eritrean-Australian professional football player who plays as a forward. Early life Mebrahtu is of Eritrean origin. Born in the capital of the African country of Sudan, Mebrahtu moved to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia aged nine as a refugee during the Eritrean–Ethiopian War in 1999. Josh Brindell-South (born 1992) is an Australian footballer who plays as a left back. He is currently a free agent, having most recently played for A-League club Brisbane Roar. Playing career Wellington Phoenix Brindell-South signed a one-year contract with the Phoenix and new coach Ernie Merrick in September 2013. Jesse Daley (born 16 October 1997) is an Australian professional soccer player plays as a central midfielder for Cavalry FC in the Canadian Premier League. Masato Kudo
was a Japanese footballer who played as a forward. International career On 23 September 2010, Kudo was selected for the Japan Under-21 squad for the 2010 Asian Games held in Guangzhou, China. Thomas Michael Aldred (born 11 September 1990) is a professional footballer who plays as a central defender for Brisbane Roar. Born in England, he represented Scotland at youth level. He began his career with Carlisle United in the Football League before joining Watford in 2010 and Colchester United in 2011.
