The 2020–21 Big Ten women's basketball season began with practices in October 2020, followed by the start of the 2020–21 NCAA Division I women's basketball season in November 2020. Indiana State Sycamores Women's Basketball
The Indiana State Sycamores basketball team is an NCAA Division I women's basketball program of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Sycamores compete in the Missouri Valley Conference. Sycamore basketball history In 1971, women's basketball became an intercollegiate sport at Indiana State University. In 1982, the sport was elevated to revenue status, which meant more money was available. Under Coach Edith Godleski, Indiana State qualified for its first WNIT Tournament game in 1976. Joseph L. McKeown pronounced Mick-Q-ann (born May 12, 1956), is the head women's basketball coach at Northwestern University. Career He has 600 wins as of November 21, 2014. Amy Michelle Williams ( née Gusso; born March 22, 1976) is the current head coach of the Nebraska women's basketball team. Lindsay Marie Whalen (born May 9, 1982) is the head coach of the University of Minnesota's women's basketball team. She began her professional career as a point guard for the Connecticut Sun of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Suzy Merchant (born July 26, 1969) is the current head coach for the Michigan State University Women's Basketball team. She is married to Gary Rakan and has two sons, Tyler Rakan and Brady Rakan. Kimberly Ann Barnes Arico (born August 9, 1970) is an American women's basketball coach, and the current head coach of the Michigan Wolverines women's basketball team. Previously, she was head coach of the St. John's University women's basketball team. She was inducted to the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame in 2020.
