General Secretary Of The Chinese Communist Party
The general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party () is the head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the sole ruling party of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Since 1989, the CCP general secretary has been the paramount leader of the PRC. Overview According to the Constitution of the Chinese Communist Party, the general secretary serves as an ''ex officio'' member of the Politburo Standing Committee, China's ''de facto'' top decision-making body. The general secretary is also the head of the Secretariat. Since 1989, the holder of the post has been, except for transitional periods, the Chairman of the Central Military Commission, making the holder the supreme commander of the People's Liberation Army. Yang Xiaodu
Yang Xiaodu (; born 26 October 1953) is a Chinese politician and the Director of the National Supervisory Commission. He served as a member of the 19th Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party from 2017 to 2022. From 2014 to 2022, he served as a Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), the leading anti-graft body of the Chinese Communist Party. He has served in Shanghai and Tibet during his early political career. Biography Yang was born in Shanghai in 1953. In 1970, during the Cultural Revolution, he was sent-down youth performing manual labour in Taihe County, Anhui province. In September 1973, he began studying at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He graduated in 1976 and then began working in Nagqu Prefecture, Tibet for a drug company. Shen Xiaoming
Shen Xiaoming (; born May 1963) is a Chinese politician, serving from 2017 to 2020 as the Governor of Hainan. A pediatrician by training, Shen rose through the ranks in the health and education bureaucracy of Shanghai. He successively served as party chief of Pudong and vice minister of education. Life and career Shen was born in Shangyu County, Zhejiang Province. He attended Wenzhou Medical College and obtained a degree in pediatrics. He then attended Shanghai Jiaotong University and obtained a doctoral degree in pediatric medicine. Shen Yiqin
Shen Yiqin (; born 15 December 1959) is a Chinese politician of Bai ethnic heritage. She served as the Communist Party Secretary of Guizhou, a province in southwestern China, between November 2020 and December 2022. Shen is the third female provincial-level party chief since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949 after Wan Shaofen and current Vice Premier Sun Chunlan. Career Shen was born in Zhijin County, Guizhou. Shen belonged to a group of sent-down youth in the latter years of the Cultural Revolution. After the Cultural Revolution ended, she began studying history at Guizhou University. After graduating, she was sent to work for the provincial party school in Guizhou as a lecturer. Gansu
Gansu (, ; alternately romanized as Kansu) is a province in Northwest China. Its capital and largest city is Lanzhou, in the southeast part of the province. The seventh-largest administrative district by area at , Gansu lies between the Tibetan and Loess plateaus and borders Mongolia ( Govi-Altai Province), Inner Mongolia and Ningxia to the north, Xinjiang and Qinghai to the west, Sichuan to the south and Shaanxi to the east. Wang Ning (; born April 1961) is a Chinese politician currently serving as party secretary of Yunnan. He is an alternate member and then a member of the 19th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. Biography Wang was born in Shenyang, Liaoning, in April 1961. He graduated from Liaoning Architectural Engineering Institute (now Shenyang Jianzhu University). He joined the Chinese Communist Party in June 1983. Tang Dengjie (; born June 1964) is a Chinese politician and business executive, serving since February 2022 as Minister of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China.
